15 years (extendable to 20 years)
According to China's current "Regulations on Mandatory Scrapping of Motor Vehicles", the mandatory scrapping age and relevant regulations for small trucks are as follows:

Core scrapping standards
‌Basic age‌
The mandatory scrapping age for small trucks (trucks with a total mass of more than 1.8 tons) is 15 years. If the vehicle passes the annual inspection, the service life can be extended to 20 years.

‌Mileage limit‌

Small trucks with a total mass ≤1.8 tons: must be scrapped after a cumulative mileage of 300,000 kilometers.
Small trucks with a total mass >1.8 tons: must be scrapped after a cumulative mileage of 400,000 kilometers.
Inspection requirements
‌After 10 years‌: annual inspection is required, and after passing, it can continue to be used for up to 15 years.
‌After 15 years‌: it can be extended for another 5 years by passing a special inspection (a one-year certificate of use qualification).
Special circumstances
‌Mini trucks‌ (vehicle length ≤3.5 meters and total mass ≤1.8 tons): the mandatory scrapping age is 8 years, and there is no extension policy.
‌Special vehicles such as mining vehicles‌: The scrapping age is 8 years, which can be extended to 12 years.
Notes
‌Guided scrapping‌: Even if the age or mileage is not reached, if the vehicle safety or environmental protection does not meet the standards, the relevant departments will recommend scrapping.
‌Regional differences‌: Some places may have additional requirements for emission standards, which need to be implemented in combination with local policies.
‌Suggestions‌: Car owners should regularly maintain their vehicles and pay attention to annual inspection requirements to maximize the service life. For specific policies, please consult the local vehicle management office or refer to Order No. 12 of the Ministry of Commerce.
